Back to You was a difficult read for me. Author Bates should have expanded the plot a little more or gave us more history on the characters in the beginning of the story instead of figuring out things too far into the story.
Although I enjoyed Lynsey’s character, it was difficult to follow where we were headed throughout the story. I knew why Lynsey returned to her hometown, but it was like everyone she met had an attraction to her. Every time she met someone it was like here we go again.
The story had a lot of characters who essentially all worked for the police department in some capacity. I had trouble keeping up with the characters and had to frequently go back and figure out who I was reading about. I found Back to You to be a little boring. Although I was excited and interested in the beginning, I was quickly confused and disappointed at the end.

I hate when there are so many characters that you can’t figure out who is who. Great review.
