REVIEW
The title “It’s Raining Cats & Frogs” is a play on the overused expression “It’s Raining Cats & Dogs.” This story is about two young kids who are trying to decide how to prepare themselves for going outside in the pouring rain.
There were no names for the characters, so that is why I refer to them as the ‘two young kids. The reading level for this book is geared towards ages 4-8, but I have to disagree with that. I would actually recommend this book to children under the age of three, because the story is too bland to keep the attention of anyone older.
The text included is bilingual (English/Spanish) – which is a great learning tool to introduce children to a new language. The book was beautifully illustrated.
Overall the storyline needed improvement and could have used a good developmental author.
