Detective Ian Peterson and trusted colleague, Detective Geraldine Steel are trying to solve the case of three dead bodies. Even with a new partner, Polly, they try to figure out what it is that ties these murders together besides the timing. Ian will have to try to stop this killer before he strikes again, but will it be too late?
Cold Sacrifice by Leigh Russell kept me guessing until the very end. Ms. Russell keeps the reader on their toes throughout the entire story. One minute you think you know who the killer is, the next you’re thrown for a loop and a new victim is found. Ms. Russell did an amazing job of describing crime scenes and giving the reader a realistic point-of-view, it really made the story come alive.
The one part of the story that baffled me was with Ian and his wife. Although the two had been together for a long time, they were recently married, but the wife acted completely snooty. Other than that I loved the book and would definitely recommend. I plan to read more books by Ms. Russell.
