Life has never been easy for the three Campbell sisters. Jess, Courtney, and Dani live on a remote ranch in Western Canada where they work hard and try to stay out of the way of their father's temper. One night, a fight gets out of hand and the sisters are forced to go on the run, only to ...
Danielle, Courtney and Jessica Caldwell were living a nightmare. A mother who died and an abusive father. One night, the abuse becomes too much to bear. On the run, they run straight to becoming the victims of two predators.
Fast forward almost 18 years later – Living in a new city, with new identities, the sisters learn to live with their new reality. Danielle aka Dallas, has thrown herself into work. Courtney aka Crystal throws herself into partying and alcohol to numb the pain of the events that led her to her current life. Jessica aka Jamie has been the one that is most reminded of these events, in the firm of her daughter, Skylar. All three sisters hope the past stays buried but like most secrets the past has a way of showing up!
Chevy Stevens’ Those Girls was gripping. Her vivid details keep you on the edge of your seat. Readers will be completely immersed in these sisters’ world. Ms Stevens’s tale survival and ultimately, redemption is wonderfully written. Told from the perspective of all the main characters, the violence, anguish, and despair is written so well, you feel the emotions of these sisters. You feel your stomach drop, as Skylar tries to put all the clues together. This is a quick and fast paced story; that haunts you days later.
