In Love With the Wrong Man
Sydney Williams has forgiven her fiancé, Den, more times than she can count. But his latest betrayal just days before their wedding is too big to ignore. Shocking her friends and family, she calls off the engagement. She walks out on Den . . . and into the arms of his brother, Morgan.
Known as a player, Morgan Smith has secretly spent years fighting his feelings for Sydney. When Den's latest dirty deed leaves Sydney devastated, Morgan can't stop himself from coming to her rescue. What begins as friendship quickly escalates into all-consuming passion. Despite their intense connection, Sydney would rather deny her desire than come between brothers. But as Morgan is determined to make Sydney his, Den won't give her up without a fight . . .
The title grabbed my attention at first glance. There’s always something about the word Forbidden that piques my curiosity. I purposely avoided reading the synopsis because I wanted the story to reveal itself with each turn of the pages.
Sydney has endured a lot in her relationship with Caden, but she still wants to walk down the aisle and become his wife. But there’s only so much a person can take before reaching their breaking point. Sydney’s breaking point comes when she receives a phone from someone detailing their sexual trysts with Sydney’s fiance, Caden. Unable to forgive him for the thousandth time – Sydney calls off the wedding.
Sydney finds comfort in the arms of her good friend, Morgan the one person that knows her and her heart. Even though Morgan has kept his feelings for Sydney a secret for years he finds it hard to suppress them with the given situation. The only problem is Morgan is Caden’s brother. That’s when things get tricky, and they enter the “forbidden” zone. Is Sydney willing to give her heart another chance at love with Morgan? Is loving Sydney worth losing a relationship with his brother?
Elle Wright pulls readers in with this well-written, intoxicating, and engaging read. The sex scenes in The Forbidden Man were realistic, sensual, and steamy. I had to close the book a few times because I felt as though I was spying with my binoculars during their love-making sessions.
For a person that’s not a big fan of Romance reads – The Forbidden Man has found its way on my Best of 2015 list.
