I had no idea what this book was about but when I saw the words Praise and Carol Hill-Mackey name attached to it – I knew I had to read it. From the title of the book – I assumed it was a picture book of different gospel artists.
Not only is it a picture book but there is so much more on the pages of this book. The stories that are shared by Carol M. Mackey will encourage you on your walk with the Lord. We are never alone on this journey we call LIFE. Even when times are dark – GOD never leaves our side. That’s why it’s so important to share our testimonies with each other because there is always someone going through something that may need to hear it.
This book not only lifted my spirits out of a dark place but it gave me much-needed encouragement. It also introduced me to a lot of gospel artists/gospel songs that I have never heard of.
Photographer B. Jeffery-Clark did an exceptional job capturing that raw emotion of the gospel artists while they were performing on stage. The pictures were so mesmerizing. After reading the book – I found myself going back through the book just to look at the photographs again.
This is a book that you will want to keep on your coffee table, bedroom dresser, office, car, and any other place you go to for a few minutes of silence. (Except the bathroom – I think it’s so rude to take a book in the bathroom. That’s another subject for another day.)
