In this offering by Sam Wiebe, we meet Dave Wakeland a former cop now a private investigator in partnership with Jeff Chen. Jeff deals with the corporate side and Dave, well his clients and the situations usually end in with him having to be a tad bit violent.

Dave is hired by Professor Dana Essex to find Tabitha Sorenson, a former student who has gone missing with a million dollars. This is the hook that takes you on a journey to find Tabitha. Along the way, Dave also works on a case for his ex-cop partner. Not only was Sonia his ex-partner, but ex-girlfriend so when she asks for his help, that’s a no-brainer, of course, he does. The two storylines are very well written and you do not get lost as they run side by side.

I really enjoyed this author’s style of writing. He unquestionably knows how to write a crime novel. Twists and turns, the writing is tight and a perfect flow make this a book you want to read. I recommend you buy this book and I will certainly be reading more works by this author in the future.
