This story has a love triangle that is quite complicated, yet I had no trouble following each character. There is also a mystery, corruption and social unrest as it is set in the 1800s during Irish immigration. I was hooked from page one, and I hope this isn’t the last book Ms. Guadagnino writes on this topic.

Rich in historical detail I want to know more about the main character Marie O’Farren aka Mary Ballard an Irish immigrant. The author wrote a fabulous page-turner, and I want more.
