Rightfully Mine by Christine Young-Robinsonon September 29, 2019
A page-turning story of secrets, lies, power, struggle, manipulation, and tragedy.
Aniyah Sanchez-Powell has a new look on life. She has the husband and son of her dreams, yet she still yearns to be accepted by her father-in-law.
Jarvis Powell Sr. has no love for his daughter-in-law. He wants her far away from his son, Jarvis Jr., and is willing to go to any length to stop her from getting her paws on his family’s fortune. He turns to the one family that may be able to help him out… the Houstons.
The Houston sisters, Milandra, Noelle, and Kenley, have no love for Aniyah. The mere mention of her name leaves a bitter taste in their mouths. When they are presented with the perfect opportunity for revenge, Mr. Powell is surprised that only one of the sisters is willing to entertain the idea.
When Aniyah learns of the depths that her father-in-law is willing to go through to destroy her, she returns to her old devious ways. She’s willing to put her family and marriage in jeopardy to fight back. She preys on a local farmer, Brant Logan, whom she learns is loaded with money. Will she succeed in her mission to get back at her attackers? Better yet, will she lose her family in the midst of it all? There’s only one way to find out: read Rightfully Mine and see how this crazy family affair unfolds.
Rightfully Mine is the perfect title for this book because everyone feels like they are entitled to something even if it doesn’t belong to them.
While reading this book, there was a part of me that felt the story was going to be predictable — Bravo to Author Young-Robinson for keeping me on my toes. Even though the book kept my interest, I do feel this story could have been summed up in fewer pages.
Author Christine Young-Robinson did a good job creating characters that will have you screaming at your book as if they can hear you. I’m not a fan of messy, drama-filled people in real life, but it’s fun reading about them in books.
I look forward to reading more books from this author. I recommend this book for your reading pleasure.
