In the story “One of Us Knows,” Alyssa Cole introduces Kenetria Nash, a woman with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) who is trying to rebuild her life and career. However, everything falls apart after she gets trapped by a Nor’easter with some strangers among whom there is ex-lover she thought had died.

Cole tells a thrilling mystery that deals with the questions of identity, resilience and truth power. Kenetria’s alters turn out to be separate and vivid personalities as they help her prove innocence while at the same time disclosing dark secrets of the island.

One of Us Knows is an eye-opening book that combines internal conflicts faced by Kenetria with external dangers she encounters. The author demonstrates her talent for storytelling through this captivating account which will leave readers in suspense till its last pages.
